On 19th October, iSaahasi participants took part in the Freedom Walk to raise awareness about human trafficking, a global crime that affects millions of people. The event happened in different places around the country, including Mumbai. iSaahasi participants and staff started their day early at Nariman Point in Mumbai and walked 3 km with over 1,000 other people.
The Freedom Walk was part of a larger effort to bring attention to the issue of human trafficking. Our survivors walked proudly with others, standing up for justice and showing their support for freedom and dignity for all. Their presence was a powerful sign of their own journeys to recovery and hope for others still affected by trafficking.
During the walk, participants carried signs with messages like “Freedom for All” and “End Trafficking Now,” creating a strong feeling of unity among everyone there. The Freedom Walk wasn’t just a walk—it was a way to show that every step counts in the fight to end human trafficking. The survivors from iSaahasi represented hope and strength, showing how they continue to move forward toward a brighter future.
