Progress Updates

By this month, we’ve gone through several rounds of academic assessments. The teaching staff have noted several advancements. Many students’ literacy has improved rapidly, and they’ve leapt a great number of reading levels. Our teachers are now receiving requests from students for extra reading materials, indicating that students are taking initiative for their learning and enjoying the process of learning to read!

Additionally, Hindi classes have roused a great amount of enthusiasm with students. Exploring the language and its nuances has generated lots of intellectual debate–one teacher expressed feeling profoundly moved by the students’ engagement, excitement, and level of interaction with the lessons in Hindi class.

Based on our assessments, we have created two learning tracks for the students: the eagles, the accelerated/ independent learners, and the dolphins, the slower paced learners who get extra one-on-one time with the teachers. Within the overarching track, each student follows a specialized learning plan that has been created based on her individual strengths, challenges, and progress. Thus far, we’ve been incredibly touched and impressed by the students’ overall motivation and advancement in the Academy.
